UGC prices look random until you split them into three parts: the video, the posting and the rights. Get those right and you can budget any brief in a minute.
1. The video itself
A single UGC video of 15 to 60 seconds from an experienced creator typically costs $150 to $300 in the US and UK. That covers the idea, filming and a basic edit. Beginners charge less, top UGC specialists more.
Extra hook variations (the same video with different openings) cost around $35 each and are the cheapest way to test ads. Raw footage adds about 20% because you get material for your own edits.
Bundles of 3 or more videos are often around 10% cheaper per video.
2. Posting on the creator's account
Pure UGC means you post the video. If the creator also posts it, you pay for reach too. Common ranges on top of the video:
| Creator size | Followers | Added for a post |
|---|---|---|
| Nano | 1K to 10K | $50 to $150 |
| Micro | 10K to 50K | $150 to $500 |
| Mid | 50K to 250K | $500 to $2,000 |
| Macro | 250K to 1M | $2,000 to $8,000 |
Check median views, not followers: a 40K account with 30K median views is worth more than a 200K account with 5K.
3. Usage rights
Organic use on your own channels is usually included. Running the video as a paid ad is extra, priced as a multiplier on the video:
| Usage | Typical multiplier |
|---|---|
| Organic only | ×1.0 |
| Paid ads, 30 days | ×1.3 |
| Paid ads, 90 days | ×1.5 |
| Paid ads, 12 months | ×2.0 |
| Paid ads, forever | ×2.5 |
Agree the platforms, the duration and whether you may edit the video, in writing.
Example budgets
- 1 video, your channels only: $150 to $300.
- 3 videos plus 3 hook variations, 90 days of ads: roughly $700 to $1,300.
- 1 video posted by a 30K creator, 30 days of ads: roughly $400 to $1,000.
These are market ranges, not quotes. Rates are higher for complex shoots, specialist creators and strong usage terms.
Pay for fit, not for size
The most expensive UGC is the video that does not work. Before you agree a price, check that the creator's recent videos are about your niche and that their openings hold attention. Trendstalkr checks this for you and shows median views and a fit score for every creator.
